Let us introduce ourselves...
I started my own fitness journey when, after having my children, I felt so unlike “myself”. I had gone from playing massive gigs with my band touring Europe to being a stay at home mum carrying more weight than I ever had before. I felt like I had lost my identity and confidence and I was ashamed of my body.
I knew I had to do something to change the way I was feeling so I tentatively joined my local gym and started playing squash and taking some classes. I noticed quite quickly how this time to be myself positively impacted my mood and, as the months passed, my body shape too.
Once I saw how much progress I had made I felt motivated to push harder, to see what else I could accomplish. I qualified to teach classes of my own and started to experiment with other forms of training, soon I was achieving things physically that I never thought possible and this empowered me to take control in all aspects of my life. I qualified as a personal trainer and I also made some momentous decisions that changed my life completely and led me to find my true happiness.
It is my passion to help others to see that they can achieve far beyond what they thought possible both in their physical health and in their lives as a whole.

After coming out and discovering who I truly am, I wanted to figure out what I enjoyed after all these years of finding myself. I thought about going to the gym to improve my mental health and fitness levels. I signed up and started going a few times a week, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone by attending classes and using the equipment around the gym.
I decided to join the Wilder Fitness community and quickly noticed how much my confidence was growing. I was stepping into areas of the gym that scared me and that I had previously avoided. Being part of a supportive group made me feel valid and accepted for who I am. Through meeting up with members of Team Wilder for gym sessions, I realised that I had the skills to help and encourage others to push themselves and become more confident.
I want you to know that all body types and abilities deserve to take up space in the gym and no matter where you are on your journey or your fitness ability, I will be there, supporting you all the way.
